Using Canva.com to spice up your website

Sharing is good

I use Canva.com as a composition tool. It’s a simple yet extremely powerful web (and app) based tool for creating graphical assets. There a large variety of ready-made template for a lot of applications, but what I find most powerful is the ease with which a graphics layman (me) can create stunning visuals.

And Canva just got better. When you create a graphic you can now get embed code and embed the graphic in your blog or website without having to go through the sometimes annoying process of downloading the png, uploading to your website, and creating a custom webpage. That’s pretty cool, but the game-changer is that when you go to Canva.com and update the graphic, it automatically updates on the webpage! Mind blown!

Below is a poster I created to show the basic rules and concepts of how the “lean coffee” process works.
